By accessing or using PlayCalcutta ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PlayCalcutta is a platform that facilitates Calcutta-style auction pools among friends and groups. The Service provides tools to create events, conduct auctions, track results, and calculate payouts.

Important: PlayCalcutta is a tool for organizing friendly competitions. We do not process real money, handle payments, or facilitate gambling. All financial settlements between participants are handled privately outside of our platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use PlayCalcutta. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Manipulate auctions, collude with other users, or engage in fraudulent activity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

6. Event Organizer Responsibilities

If you create an event on PlayCalcutta, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring all participants understand and agree to the event rules
• Managing disputes between participants
• Coordinating any financial settlements outside of the platform
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLAYCALCUTTA AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, money, or anticipated savings
• Disputes between event participants
• Failed or disputed financial settlements between users
• Loss of data or service interruptions
• Any outcomes related to sporting events or competitions

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlayCalcutta and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
